When WWE 2K22 launched earlier this year, it included an overhauled WWE 2K gameplay engine. While some criticized it, the overall response has been quite positive. And that’s not just externally, but internally too.
Sources close to the game’s development have told me that the newer system is “much easier” to work on and adjust than years past.
For WWE 2K23, the studio has “doubled down” on the WWE 2K gameplay and has worked in major ways to reduce clipping, improve hit detection, and more. While 2K22 was the foundation, 2K23 is said to have more polish than any game in the WWE 2K series.
As far as when more on the game is going to be officially announced, all we were told was “soon”.
